Robert A. Hunter was tapped to be Spectrin's Chairman in June 1997. He joined the company as a Senior Researcher in 1987 and was promoted to Chief Researcher at the company's upstate facility in 1993.

He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Alternative Religions from Harvard University in 1979 and a Masters in Metascience from New York University in 1983. A holder of several patents in the field of vivoelectric research, Mr. Hunter is an active member of several professional organizations including the Southwestern Investigatory Group and the Cathectic Rationalization Organization of New York City.
